My Story…

My art journey started years ago in Melbourne with a fine liner, a notebook and drawing the letter ‘S’. I loved curves, patterns and was inspired by classic Indian designs. I was then inspired by colour and how it made me feel, happy. I explored this through the sometimes unforgiving flowing nature of watercolour painting.

Following a degree in Education, specialising in Visual Arts, I entered into the education world through teaching and recruitment for four years in London. In 2021, I left this career and decided to take the plunge and pursue my art professionally.

I have recently been exploring colour and ways in which I can evoke feelings of happiness and joy. With this I have challenged myself to oil paintings as I feel the colours are richer on a canvas and have allowed me to find my painting style. Whilst I am living in London, I find myself coming back to Australian objects and colour palettes as a way of reconnecting.
